COVID-19 has put a financial squeeze on TROtt.

Greely, ON – Ottawa-Carleton’s sole CanTRA-accredited therapeutic riding stable will again join the global giving movement, “Giving Tuesday,” on November 30th, asking donors to give the gift of therapy.

The Therapeutic Riding Association of Ottawa-Carleton Inc. (TROtt) changes the lives of persons with disabilities by providing the physical and mental benefits of therapeutic horseback riding and other equine programs.

As a nonprofit, TROtt counts on its generous donors to cover more than two-thirds of operating costs, with over 100 volunteers serving as the cornerstone of TROtt’s service delivery model. The subsidized lessons at TROtt enhance the riders’ quality of life through regular physical exercise and companionship with TROtt’s amazing horses.

“COVID-19 has put a financial squeeze on TROtt, just as it has on so many organizations. Donations will help our charity move forward with much-needed therapeutic programs in the community,” said Annie Grenon, TROtt’s chairwoman on the Board of Directors.

TROtt invites you to make a donation this Giving Tuesday by visiting its link at https://givingtuesday.ca/partners/therapeutic-riding-association-of-ottawa-carleton.

What Our Clients Think

  • Horses are more secure and comfortable when trailering if they can face the rear, but they prefer openings.
