Wellington, FL (October 30, 2023) - Last month, the iconic dressage boot brand Konigs announced they will be ceasing operations on October 31, 2023. This marks the end of the brand's 170 year history, and the conclusion of an era of riding boots that have become beloved by dressage riders around the world. The Dressage Connection, a dressage specialty shop owned by Charles Tota, has been the official repair center for Konigs for multiple decades and will continue to be the official repair center as they close operations. While no more Konig boot orders will be accepted, The Dressage Connection has the skill and experience to keep the remaining boots looking and riding like new.

Charles Tota has been measuring, fitting, and refurbishing Konigs and all other brands of boots, tack, and riding equipment for more than 30 years. Some of the world's top riders have boots fit by Charlie, and The Dressage Connection is also the exclusive supplier of Tota Comfort System bridles, saddles, accessories, and more. All of the Tota Comfort System equipment has a unique design, intended to increase comfort and performance for horse and rider. The patented Tota Comfort System Noseband and Drop Noseband are featured on all of the bridle designs and are favorites of riders in all disciplines, not only dressage.

Dear customers,
It´s time to say Good-Bye. We will be closing our operations on October 31st 2023. This marks the end of the history of the Königs company after more than 170 years.
The reasons that motivated us to do this are varied. The severe restrictions during and after the corona pandemic, the shortage of skilled workers, the enormously increased material costs coupled with a shortage of raw materials and due to this often very long delivery times.
We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for many years of loyalty and good cooperation and wish you all the best for the future!
