The sixth Great Lakes Carriage Classic (GLCC) will be held July 26 to 28 at The Ancaster Fairgrounds, with competition each day between 8am and 4pm.  Friday is devoted to Dressage and CDE Style Cones and is a point show for The Ontario Carriage Driving Association. Saturday and Sunday is the Pleasure portion of the show. Competitors will be able to choose from a wide range of classes and divisions, catering to all types of equines, carriages and skill levels. A new award, donated by Supreme Trophies, will be presented to the highest point VSE competitor.

Dr. Richard Johnson provides a vintage carriage ride at Westfield Heritage Village. He will be providing rides at the GLCC Saturday afternoon for a fee.

Spectators are welcome to attend all aspects of the show with no entry fee. The Agricultural Event Centre has covered seating, indoor washrooms and is fully wheelchair accessible. Food services will be on site during the show.  All are encouraged to attend the many social offerings. On Friday evening the corn roast ($25) will have live entertainment. The Carriage Classic Gala,($75) with sit down dinner, live entertainment and carriage horn demonstration, will take place Saturday evening. Spectators will be educated about the sport at the Saturday lunch hour Carriage Parade and on Sunday at the Equine Parade.  Carriage Rides in a vintage vehicle will be offered to the public  for a fee on Saturday afternoon. Youth from the community will also be given an opportunity to participate in the show in the Sunday Red Light Green Light Class (found in the show Prize List page 30). In this class ($15), children ride on a carriage as a passenger, directing the driver over a short cones course. Ribbons will be given to each participant in this class and a prize to  the winner.

The vendor marketplace has been expanded  to offer a wide range of products of interest to the community at large and will be open each day during the show.  All details about the GLCC may be found on the show website https://thegreatlakescarriageclassic.ca and the Prize List maybe found in the competitor section of the website.  Social Events may be purchased on the website through the competitor section/registration form.
