August 10, 2026 - Aachen, Germany – All four Canadian Dressage Team horses successfully passed the initial veterinary inspection Monday morning at the FEI World Championships, being deemed fit and ready to compete by the panel of judges and veterinarians.
The Great Lakes Equestrian Festival, presented by B&D Builders, wrapped up six weeks of competition Sunday at Flintfields Horse Park. Erynn Ballard added one more victory to her remarkable summer in the $20,000 1.40-1.45m Jumper Classic, while Team Ghere closed out the $10,000 World Wide Technology Non Pro Team Jumper Challenge with a fault-free team performance and jump-off win.

TORONTO, Ontario, August 2026 – The Ontario Horse Council has officially launched as a new not-for-profit dedicated to uniting Ontario's equine community, across every breed and discipline, and giving the industry a stronger, coordinated voice.

The newspaper is in its 51st year of publication.
