LongRun Thoroughbred Retirement Society, whose mandate is to provide Ontario's thoroughbred racehorses with a happy and dignified retirement, is holding an Open House at their Hillsburgh farm on Saturday, July 19th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and invites horse lovers to join them in celebration of LongRun's 25th anniversary.
Attendees will be able to partake in farm tours, meet many of LongRun's close to 60 resident retirees, enjoy photo ops with "Stable Star" Pink Lloyd, Canada's most decorated thoroughbred racehorse, and meet champion jockey Eurico Rosa DaSilva, who will be holding Equine Experiential Assistance demonstrations at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
