BROMONT, QC - August 12, 2026 - International eventing returns to the historic Bromont Olympic Equestrian Park this weekend for the August Bromont CCI-S Horse Trials, bringing competitors from across Canada and the United States together at one of North America's most celebrated eventing venues.
Running August 14-16, the weekend features international competition from CCI1*-S through CCI4*-S, alongside national EV110, EV100 and EV90 divisions.

With the FEI World Championships underway in Aachen, Germany, and several of North America's leading riders representing their countries overseas, it's a busy weekend for the international eventing community on both sides of the Atlantic. Back in Bromont, a strong field of experienced international competitors, rising talent and developing horses is set to take on the venue's historic tracks.
U.S. Olympian Lauren Nicholson leads the Kingsleigh Equine CCI4*-S entries with three horses: I'll Have Another, Landmark Jungle's Gold and How Easy GG. Canadian Olympian Colleen Loach will contest the division aboard Chiaro Z, while Australia's Ryan Wood will ride Clooney R.
The CCI3*-S brings another competitive group to Bromont, including Selena O'Hanlon aboard Sorella Blue, Lindsay Traisnel with Bacyrouge, Lillian Heard Wood and KHH Cooley, Erin Kanara aboard Captain's Lady K, and Wood with Hicks de Lyse and Woodstock Indy.
Competition continues through the CCI2*-S and CCI1*-S divisions and the national levels, giving horses and riders at several stages of their careers an opportunity to compete over Bromont's renowned terrain. The championship courses at Bromont are designed by two of the sport's most respected course designers, Derek di Grazia and Jay Hambly.
Friday offers competitors an opportunity to prepare for the weekend ahead, with riders able to school a show jumping course and/or school in the dressage rings throughout the day.
Competition begins Saturday with dressage and show jumping, followed by cross-country on Sunday over Bromont's championship tracks.

Grab Your Teammates: The Bromont Team Challenge Returns
The popular Team Challenge is back for 2026, adding a little extra competition and plenty of camaraderie to the August weekend.
Teams consist of three or four riders competing in the same division, and competitors are encouraged to gather their barnmates, friends and fellow riders and put a team together.
This summer also marks a significant milestone for Bromont Olympic Equestrian Park, 50 years since the venue hosted the equestrian events of the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games. Half a century later, horses and riders continue to gallop across the same historic grounds, carrying Bromont's Olympic legacy forward into a new generation of the sport.

Recognizing Exceptional Dedication with the MNA Medal and Alan Law Trophy
On August 15 at 12:30 p.m., Bromont Horse Trials will be honoured to welcome Ms. Isabelle Charest, Member of the National Assembly of Québec for Brome-Missisquoi for the presentation of the MNA Medal to Ms. Sue Ockendon, president of the Bromont Horse Trials and show manager of the MARS Bromont CCI4*, Little Bromont & Bromont CCI-S August. This honor is presented to highlight Sue Ockendon’s exceptional contribution to the prominence of Brome-Missisquoi through the development and promotion of equestrian sports.
The Alan Law Trophy, recognizing the outstanding contribution to the Bromont Horse Trials by one of its volunteers, will also be presented during the luncheon.
