The 4:15 p.m. first race post time was greeted enthusiastically by fans who crammed the track on a warm summer's evening.

AJAX DOWNS, JULY 1, 2025 - The Quarter Horses will have their first twilight racing card at Ajax Downs this Wednesday, July 2 , with a first race post time of 4:15 p.m. A fantastic, eight-race program will kick off with the BATTLE OF THE BREEDS pitting Quarter Horses against Thoroughbreds around a turn at 770- yards and wrap up with the final of the $57,105 Ontario Bred Derby for 3-year-olds.

On July 25th to 27th The Great Lakes Carriage Classic (GLCC) takes place at The Ancaster Fairgrounds, Jerseyville, ON. With American Driving Society Judges Shelly Temple from Pennsylvania and Kacy Tipton Fashik from Grand Oaks Resort, Florida participants will be tested over three days of competition.
