AJAX DOWNS, JULY 18 2025 - The annual CRAFT BEER DAY at Ajax Downs is on tap for this SUNDAY, JULY 20, with a full card of Quarter Horse racing and a chance for fans to sample some of the best local breweries in the Durham region.
The popular event day will also have the always exciting Dachshund races following the Quarter Horse card, live music from The Blackstones, and prizes and giveaways.
Festivities begin at 12:30 p.m with a first race post time of 12:55 p.m.
On track, fans will get a chance to see North America's winningest horse, MARYLAND MAGIC, who has 5 wins this year from 5 starts - more victories than any other runner this year. The 11-year-old stallion, who has offspring racing in four of the races on Sunday, provided jockey Brian Bell with his 800th career win in his most recent start, June 25. The son of PYC Paint Your Wagon is in race 6 and taking on the exciting 3-year-old, Game Favorite, who has won both of his races this season impressively.
