The 2025 Royal Animal Ambassador is Rosie, a six-year-old miniature donkey from a beautiful farm in Oshawa.

The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, the world's largest combined indoor agricultural and equestrian show will return to Toronto’s Exhibition Place from November 7-16 2025. Celebrating its 103rd anniversary, the Fair will include 10 days of agricultural excellence, culinary offerings, local food and equestrian competitions, and of course, lot’s of exciting family programming. Tickets are on sale, and more information can be found at royalfair.org.

The 2025 Royal Animal Ambassador! Rosie is a six-year-old miniature donkey from a beautiful farm in Oshawa, where she lives with her devoted owner, Zuri Barnes. Born during a dramatic thunderstorm in August 2019, Rosie entered the world with a flair for the spotlight. After being carried into the barn to dry off, she quickly revealed her affectionate nature and has been a cuddler ever since. Rosie also holds a special place in Royal history as the first donkey ever to serve as an official Ambassador. With her calm presence and curious spirit, she reminds us that donkeys are often the unsung heroes of agriculture, quietly supporting farms and families in ways that deserve celebration. Rosie will make special appearances in the lead-up to the 2025 Fair, and welcome guests on-site throughout the 10-day event.
