Joe Carter, a celebrated figure in Canada’s Quarter Horse industry, has passed away, leaving behind a legacy of mentorship, expertise, and passion for horses. Joe was instrumental in shaping the Canadian Quarter Horse industry. For over six decades, he made significant contributions as a judge, horse trainer, farrier, and clinician, sharing his profound knowledge with thousands of equestrians.
An industry steering committee of Ontario horse people is leading a project to conduct a comprehensive economic impact study of the vast and diverse Ontario equine agricultural sector. Financial support has been received from the government of Ontario through the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness (OMAFA). Econometric Research Limited and Harry Cummings and Associates Inc. have been jointly retained to conduct the assessment.
